Our Approach
The client and therapist work together in the process of therapy. We believe healing comes through wholeness that respects the totality of each person. We help you connect with those inner resources and strengths that will guide you in a fulfilling and meaningful life long after therapy is completed.

We respect the religious and spiritual concerns of our clients. We believe spiritual development can be an important part of the health of the whole person, and we are sensitive to its varied expression.

Our Offerings
We offer short-term and long-term counseling as well as educational programs and workshops to churches and the community. Your needs establish the goals and the length of counseling.

We can help you with the following concerns:

  • Significant life changes: birth, death, marriage, divorce, new home, new job, loss of job, illness
  • Emotional problems: depression, anxiety, anger, fear
  • Relationship problems: conflict, intimacy, communication, loneliness
  • Family problems: communication, discipline, school, divorce, blended families
  • Substance abuse: evaluation, counseling and referral
  • Work: stress, dissatisfaction, career exploration
  • Feeling stuck in life: going nowhere, underachieving
  • Sexual issues and difficulties
  • Child abuse or sexual abuse
  • Spousal abuse and abuse of the elderly

Fees
We have a standard fee for counseling. Your fee is determined by income and size of family. Fees are payable at the time of service. We accept payment from insurance companies that offer mental health coverage.


The California Counseling Institute is a self-supporting, Nonprofit Corporation licensed by the State of California. We adhere to the standards of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists,
the American Psychological Association and the National Association of Social Workers.
